Drudgery Days

I read this today in one of my devotional books. I hope that you all enjoy it!

Galatians 6:9
“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

Drudery days. We all have those days when work seems so dull, we wonder if we really like our jobs anymore and why we got into them. Is it all a big mistake? Or has God suddenly changed His mind about where our futures are headed?

When life has just seemed to lose its zip, it’s time to take a look at where you are. Is it the dull winter weather that’s making you feel bored? Is it a lack of challenge on this job? Do you need to take more time away from work, perhaps going on a vacation or taking a day off? Lots of things contribute to our drudgery days.

But one thing we cannot stop doing – we cannot stop doing good in Jesus’ name, on the job and off. No matter what the cause of our situation, He will help us find a way out – one that will not leave us feeling bored and useless.

When we stick with it, we will reap an unexpected harvest. God has promised it.

A Little About Leaders and Leadership

Just wanted to share a few thoughts I found about leaders and leadership.

• Leaders may be born, but leadership is made.
• Leadership requires humility and an exceptional ability to listen for the needs of others. A sense of gratitude and patience are also paramount: success takes time.
• Leadership involves love and a willingness to place others first. Respecting others and welcoming different opinions will give a leader the opportunity to serve a larger audience.
• Leadership demands action with unbridled determination. Passionate pursuit of the task at hand is critical.
• Leaders stay awake late at night (or all night!) and arise with a desire to continue the journey.
• Leadership is accompanied by discipline and the ability to persevere in all circumstances.
• Leaders consistently turn negative results or situations into positive opportunities.
• Leaders are born every day - but many leaders also die every day due to weak vision - and their dreams and aspirations pass away right along with them.
• A clear vision of what a leader seeks to accomplish obliterates any and all obstacles that may appear. A clear and compelling vision attracts followers to pick up the cause.
• A clear vision makes the leader.

Are you a leader? What's your vision?

Two Types of People

Two Types of People:

We have all seen them around us through our life, and you will recognize them in everything that they do.

1. The person who will plug along through life, living from pay-check to pay-check...paying their bills and working to make someone else rich. Somewhere along the way they will try various ventures, but will likely not ever do anything with them other than to let them set around the house...gathering dust.

2. The other type of individual will find a way to improve their life, and the life of their family...always looking for better things every day.

The difference here is not so much what the product was, but rather the persons way in which they tackle every opportunity in their life, face the fears and move ahead. I suppose that the moral here is that... if you purchase a program, such as the one from my web-site below, and simply place it in your desk drawer to be forgotten...guess what? It will not work.

Don't Quit

When things go wrong as they sometimes will;
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill;
When the funds are low, and the debts are high
And you want to smile, but have to sigh;
When care is pressing you down a bit-
Rest if you must, but do not quit.
Success is failure turned inside out;
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt;
And you can never tell how close you are
It may be near when it seems so far;
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit-
It's when things go wrong that you must not quit.

Willing to Win - Finale

10. THERE IS NOTHING IN LIFE BUT CHOICES: Virtually all of your problems can be solved just by doing something. There is only one thing in life that we don't have a choice about and that is making choices. We make decisions every single day of our life. If we try to stumble through life without making choices, then someone else is going to do it for us...it's important that we make our own choices in life.

Choose what you want out of life, set your goals and be committed to mastering what ever your choice may be. Become a master of what ever it is that you love to do and then do it better, and do it better than anyone else. Everything that we do in life will require that we know what it is that we are doing. Happiness to me is, loving what I do and having someone to pay me to do it...love what you do and accept nothing less.

If you love what you do, you will never work another day in your life...you will enjoy being where you are, and view Monday's as if they were Friday's and actually enjoy going to the office, work or what ever it is that you do.
No one can do for you what you can do for yourself and it is up to each of us to take our life in our hands, accept responsibility for our own actions and learn from what we've done in the past. After doing a self check into our own feelings, deeds, thoughts and our relationships to others and taking note of the positive aspects and the negative side, then we can move forward to some much brighter and happier days ahead.

Throughout our life, we must never allow emotions…fear, negative thinking and panic to get in our way. In our first publication (years ago) we wrote an entire section on how the emotional aspect of life controls how we react to outside forces, and this needs to be remembered when we let days of despair creep into our minds. If you have the original book, then please read it once again and pay attention to what it says about excess emotional baggage in life and how we carry it forward on our foreheads, like some coat of armor to be proud of.

This is why so many people are extremely successful when they follow a solid set of rules, and then lose the kitchen sink when they reach their self-destruct point. They forget what got them to the successful point in their life and let many of the factors that kept them down at one point, creep back into their minds…they lose the fast track to success and fall victim to their own set of failure baggage.

We are all on a great journey in life, and I would hope that we all will arrive at the same location together...although, this is not likely as we will always loose some folks along the way, because of various reasons and circumstances...some we cannot help as in illness or the moving on to a greater and happier place, without taxes, bills and Government meddlers. But, nothing short of death, will keep me from getting where I want to be.

I have said to everyone over the last few years, that it is far easier to get rich a little bit at a time rather than trying to get it all at once. This is not the lottery system and the odds are by far, a great deal easier here than playing the lottery.

I wish everyone would stand back take a few deep gulps of air, take inventory of where you are, where you want to be and then decide to either take the giant step to get there and then, do what ever needs to be done to do it...and then do it.

But please, no excuses, no detours and no playing the 'poor me' game along the way...we are either going to be successful at what we choose to do, or we will be off looking for some other 'get rich' program that looks good on paper but SADLY, never works well in the real world. You've seen them and I know many folks, who have tried them only to learn that...the only people that made the money was the guy who sold it to you.

I do wish you my very best and I will continue to help in any way possible, but I can't force you along the way, and neither can anyone else. The help is there, but it is up to you to step up, and take advantage of the aid offered, in order to further your learning curve. I do not let anything stop me from doing what I feel will give me and my family a comfortable life in the future.

Contact me (personally) when ever the need comes up where you may need a 'Hand Slap' or a 'kick start' to get you motivated again...outside of this, I just don't know what else I can do to get you where you wish to be. When I started, there was NO ONE around that I could turn to for help...those with the needed information were only interested in selling educational material, they didn't want to give me the time of day...I learned the hard way through many ups and downs...and for your own sake, I hope you will avoid that frustration. Life is difficult enough, without folks going into a self destruction mode with no apparent reason, other than giving themselves permission to only succeed to a certain point and no further…this thinking has simply escaped me my whole life, and I will never understand this type of thinking or approach to learning anything new.

Keep Going!

You have to keep plugging away. We are all growing. There is no shortcut. You have to put time into it to build an audience.

The Will to Win (Part 9)

9. GIVE UP THE WAY IT IS TO HAVE IT THE WAY YOU WANT IT: People have told me, "they have read the books, gone to the seminars, and done it all but it is so difficult to change". It is not difficult to change and when it becomes more difficult to put up with the excuses and self destructive behavior then you will change.

What the real truth is here, is when you are willing to give up suffering, you can get anything you want out of life. When you are sick and tired of being sick and tired, when you've had enough of not having enough then that is the day you will turn your life around...but, most people must wait until their back is up against the wall before they are willing to make a change in their life. If you want to give up something that will get you on the road to change and have it happen quickly...then give up the notion that it takes a LONG TIME to change.

People pay huge amounts of money to go to self improvement seminars, they ask their doctor's should I change my life, should I go to a 'shrink' ...actually I would say no, that is for hemorrhoids and they are working on the wrong end.

You can change your own life, you do not need any outside help to take this task on, but it is within each of us to do it for ourselves if indeed we truly want to do it, before anything can be accomplished...you might as well do it now rather than tomorrow, next week or next year. There will not be a good time later to make changes and if you are feeling the need to change or the urge to seek something different then the time to take on the chore is NOW NOT LATER.

Willing to Win (Part 8)

8. KNOW THAT IT'S OK TO MAKE MISTAKES: You can not fail as a person. Your job can fail, your business can fail, your marriage can go to crap...but you can't fail as a person, this is all changeable and within your control. None of us can ever live up to our own perception of ourselves and we will fall short, in our own minds to our success-failure ratio.

We are going to make mistakes and we need to separate ourselves from who we are to what we do. If we stand back and observe our behavior and note our mistakes we can approach a place where we can change the way we do things and then feel more at ease in knowing that it is OK to make mistakes, if we are willing to learn what went wrong and take the necessary steps to change the path that we were on.

Those that go through life making no mistakes are those that 'tip toed through life, on their way to death safely, they are not doing much out in the world', basically they are dead but just don't have the good sense to lay down...a very boring existence indeed.

Live life in the present moment and live every day as though it were your last, and someday...you will be right. Most people are afraid to die because they have never really lived...their not alive and at the end of their life they are not going to think about the things they did...but rather the things they wanted to do but they didn't do.

How many people do you know that have failed BIG? I know many including myself and if you feel that you cannot accept success until you've failed big and haven't done that yet...then you had better get busy. For if you are participating in life at some point you are going to fail, things are not going to work out all the time for all the people...it just won't happen. You cannot fail as a person, so give up that feeling and learn from what you do and move on with the rest of your life.

Joy is My Strength

Joy Is My Strength

Philippians 4:1-9

Nehemiah 8:10

A great deception and lie from Satan is that we cannot enjoy our lives in the midst of trials and unpleasant circumstances. If you study the life of Christ, the Apostle Paul, and others, their lives proved otherwise. They knew joy was a spiritual strength that would help them overcome their problems. According to Galatians 5:22, joy is a fruit of the Spirit--not the fruit of sadness or depression.

The lack of joy is why we sometimes give up when we should be enduring to the end. The presence of joy gives us the endurance to withstand the attacks of the Devil and to overcome the overwhelming circumstances of the trials of life. We need to enjoy life and use the gift of the fruit of the Spirit to enhance, strengthen, improve and enrich the life He has given us. “...for the joy of the LORD is your strength.” Nehemiah 8:10b

Paul was in prison when he wrote, “Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.” Philippians 4:4. He said in the first part of Chapter Four that the Philippians were his joy and his crown. He was encouraged by their faith and steadfastness for Christ during these most difficult times. When God was giving Joshua direction for his life, He repeatedly told him to “be of good courage, and be strong.” Joshua 1:6,9 Courage and strength are a by-product of the Spirit of joy. The little word, ”be” written in these verses is a verb which means, to express necessity, obligation and action. It takes action on our part to be joyful. The keeping of a joyful heart must be cultivated and developed as we with a conscious effort delight ourselves in a triumphant life through Christ.

Thought:

An outward evidence of inward joy is laughter and smiling. Laughter releases the stress and pressures of life and gives reassurance and relaxation to the mind. This is sometimes called, “a sigh of relief,” after a howling laugh. Maybe it’s time you notified your face that you are a Christian---that is something to smile about. The joy of Christ is “joy unspeakable and full of glory.” I Peter 1:8 Why would you want to poison your day with thoughts that are less than joyous when you can think on the things of God to enrich the quality of life? “Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.” Philippians 4:4

Great Quote About Our Lord

He will not fail, nor mock, nor disappoint thee;
His consolations change not with the years;
With oil of joy He surely will anoint thee,
And wipe away thy tears.
--J. Danson Smith

The Will to Win (Part 7)

7. IT'S NORMAL TO HAVE PROBLEMS: A problem in this business, is the difference between what I have and what I want...and the secret in this difference is simply to bring the two together. We are all in the problem solving business, not real estate, Tupperware or Amway.

Thinking positive is OK in itself, but much more needs to be done other than just thinking positive about our trading...we can't run from the problems but rather we must learn to face them and defeat them, thus learning the how and why as we work through every situation that comes along.

Every time we solve a problem and think we have it all together...another problem will come along. We will never have all the problems solved, but we can learn from them as we go through life and take care of them as they occur. I have never met anyone who had it all together...I've met some that thought they had it together but no such thing.

Problems are here and they will always be here and it is like an old saying "when your up to your neck in alligator's, it's hard to remember that the initial objective was to drain the swamp"...alligator's represent the problems that we face...obstacles, and you must be bigger than anything that life may throw at you and who you are and who you want to be is bigger than any problem that can be put in your way through your life.

Robert Schuler said, "tough times don't last, but tough people do", and that is so true.

Something to Think About

"People can be divided into three groups: those who make things happen, those who watch things happen, and those who wonder what happened." -Zuck

I was reading a book today called, "Becoming a Woman of Beauty and Strength" by Elizabeth George. It is a book on the book of Esther. Here is an excerpt from her book that I really enjoyed today.

"Our study, dear one, is all about character, about nurturing strong traits, about developing powerful inner qualities, qualities that qualify you to be known as a woman after God's own heart.
............Action is a mark of the "strength" we're learning about in our quest to become women of beauty and strength.

*Action signals the beautiful presence of courage, the ability to think..and act.. under duress.

*Action also speaks of values. It means we value something enough to try rather than tire, to get up and go on rather than give up.

*Action also exhibits faith. Only a strong trust in God can enable us to go to war and fight for what's right.

The Will to Win (Part 6)

6. MAKE FEAR YOUR FRIEND: The one single thing that rules most people's life is fear. Most of what we do throughout our life is fear motivated. We want to succeed because we are afraid of failure, or we want money because we're afraid of poverty...you ever notice that the thing you don't want is the thing that runs your life...you don't want people to control you, so they control you...you don't want to feel weak, so you feel weak...you don't want to be rejected, so your rejected, you don't want to be sick, so your sick, you don't want to be nervous in front of people, so your nervous in front of people, you don't want to be broke, so your broke.

When we're willing to experience the things we don't want in our life then we can be free of them. When we learn to give up all of these fears within our life, then we can be free of them because we are choosing not to fear them but face them as a choice. Whatever we chose to do in life, we must choose it as a choice and not because we are fear motivated. One of the worst things that we can do is let our fears immobilize us into a state of zombie like inaction...you can only have in life what you are not afraid of. Associate with those who are looking for the same things you are trying to achieve and copy that life style, don't let anything or anyone hold you back or talk you down from your desired goals...find someone who has beat the 'fear' bug and get educated on this and learn from it.
